Environmental Technician I

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport, and dispose of hazardous waste following compliant practices
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to move containers and load/unload trailers
• Perform physically active tasks including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds throughout the day
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely in accordance with regulations
• Adhere to all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday
• Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces for extended periods
• Visual acuity and depth perception for reading labels and safely operating equipment
• Ability to work in all climate conditions, both indoors and outdoors
• Willingness to wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, and respirators

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Basic computer skills for completing web-based training
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends
