Environmental Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily field operations on environmental remediation and construction projects
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with regulatory health and safety requirements
• Supervise field personnel, equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors
• Coordinate project sequencing, logistics, and schedules
• Interpret project plans, specifications, and contract requirements
• Identify potential change orders and differing site conditions
• Complete and maintain accurate daily reports and safety documentation
• Monitor labor, equipment, and material usage to maintain budgets
• Conduct site walks and assist with project planning and estimating
• Mentor and develop field personnel and supervise up to 10 direct craft personnel

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience leading environmental remediation, soil remediation, demolition, or heavy civil construction projects
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary field teams and subcontractors
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, and budgeting
• Experience interpreting construction plans and specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel up to 50% to support projects across multiple states
• Previous supervisory or management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification and 8-Hour Refresher
• Experience working on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and Department of Defense (DoD) projects
• USACE Quality Control Certification/Training
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
