About the role
Responsibilities
- Sample waste streams according to policies and procedures
- Manifest, package, label, load, and offload hazardous waste
- Respond to spills and support remedial activities
- Coordinate transportation and submit disposal paperwork
- Maintain equipment and comply with safety and environmental regulations
- Support client inquiries and problem solving
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain Class A or B CDL with hazardous endorsement
- Knowledge of DOT and EPA regulations
- Strong communication, organization, and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science discipline
- Experience with hazardous waste operations
