Environmental Specialist Senior

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure continuous improvement and daily execution.
• Drive sustainability initiatives focused on reducing energy, water, and waste consumption.
• Support compliance execution on the manufacturing floor by verifying that environmental processes are followed in real time.
• Maintain and support environmental permits related to air, water, and waste.
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Manage hazardous waste processes, including proper storage, labeling, and shipment.
• Partner with Supervisors and Team Leaders to translate regulatory requirements into practical standard work for operations teams.
• Monitor environmental conditions and exposures to ensure all controls are effective and identify potential compliance risks early.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of environmental health and safety (EHS) experience, OR
• Master's degree with no EHS experience, OR
• At least 3 years of environmental health and safety (EHS) experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on an unrestricted basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing or supporting an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven track record of driving sustainability initiatives related to resource reduction.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence operations teams without direct authority.
• Working knowledge of air, water, and waste compliance requirements.
