About the role

Responsibilities

  • Sample and profile waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures
  • Perform manifesting, packaging, labeling, loading, and off-loading of materials
  • Execute spill clean-up response and remedial activities
  • Coordinate transportation while ensuring knowledge of disposal site capabilities and limitations
  • Ensure all paperwork complies with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and EPA regulations
  • Operate and maintain equipment professionally to ensure project efficiency
  • Maintain a professional image by addressing client inquiries and suggesting solutions

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Prior work experience in the hazardous waste or related industry
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous (H) endorsement
  • Ability to pass the Environmental Specialist II Competency Test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline
