Environmental Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Sample and profile waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures
• Manage manifesting, packaging, labeling, loading, and off-loading
• Coordinate spill clean-up response and remedial activities
• Coordinate transportation while ensuring knowledge of disposal site capabilities
• Ensure all paperwork complies with DOT and EPA regulations
• Operate and maintain equipment to ensure project efficiency

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• Prior work experience in the hazardous waste or related industry
• 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Hazardous (H) endorsement
• Ability to pass Environmental Specialist II Competency Test

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline
