Environmental Specialist I

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures
• Manage manifesting, packaging, labeling, loading, and off-loading
• Perform spill clean-up response and remedial activities
• Coordinate transportation and maintain professional client relations
• Comply with all health, safety, and VES-TS procedures
• Adhere to DOT and EPA regulations for hazardous waste disposal
• Operate and maintain equipment efficiently

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL with Hazardous (H) endorsement
• Computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline
