Environmental Specialist I

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to policies and procedures
• Manifest, package, label, load, and unload hazardous materials
• Respond to spills and support remedial activities
• Coordinate transportation and disposal services
• Maintain compliance with DOT, EPA, and company safety regulations
• Operate and maintain equipment efficiently

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain Class A or B CDL with H endorsement
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science discipline
• Customer service orientation
• Experience working with environmental compliance procedures
