About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Environmental and Sustainability for the St. Louis plant
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal, external, and regulatory audits
- Report environmental statistics data to Global SHE on a monthly basis
- Prepare and manage environmental documentation in accordance with local and global regulations
- Prepare and submit quarterly wastewater reports to MSD and monitor permit limits
- Implement work environment measurements, air emission self-inspections, and emergency training
- Secure SDS for laboratory chemicals and manage appropriate chemical storage
- Investigate environmental incidents using root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Oversee the Process Safety Management (PSM) program
- Act as the site Dangerous Goods/Chemicals Safety Advisor (DGSA)
- Drive the sustainability roadmap for energy, water, and waste improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- 5-7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and DOT
- Expertise in SHE Program Management (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access for data management and reporting
- Strong skills in Risk Management, Auditing, and Behavior-Based Safety
- Ability to communicate effectively in both formal and informal settings
