About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of Environmental and Sustainability for the St. Louis plant
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal, external, and regulatory audits
  • Report environmental statistics data to Global SHE on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and manage environmental documentation in accordance with local and global regulations
  • Prepare and submit quarterly wastewater reports to MSD and monitor permit limits
  • Implement work environment measurements, air emission self-inspections, and emergency training
  • Secure SDS for laboratory chemicals and manage appropriate chemical storage
  • Investigate environmental incidents using root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
  • Oversee the Process Safety Management (PSM) program
  • Act as the site Dangerous Goods/Chemicals Safety Advisor (DGSA)
  • Drive the sustainability roadmap for energy, water, and waste improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
  • 5-7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and DOT
  • Expertise in SHE Program Management (Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access for data management and reporting
  • Strong skills in Risk Management, Auditing, and Behavior-Based Safety
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both formal and informal settings
