About the role
Responsibilities
- Interpret and develop company environmental policies, guidelines, and implementation procedures.
- Design or review engineering designs and cost estimates for environmental equipment and systems.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and direct related reports and recommendations to management.
- Investigate environmental issues to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.
- Stay current on environmental legislation, regulatory agency actions, and technological developments.
- Develop environmental training materials, manuals, and programs for employees.
- Represent the company with regulatory agencies, trade associations, and industry work groups.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with 10 years of relevant environmental experience in a process industry (e.g., refining, midstream, or petrochemical).
- OR Bachelor’s degree in a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) related field with 5 years of relevant experience.
- OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant environmental experience.
- Proven ability to monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
- Ability to develop technical knowledge and business acumen.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
