Environmental Specialist/Engineer

Responsibilities

• Interpret and develop company environmental policies, guidelines, and implementation procedures.
• Design or review engineering designs and cost estimates for environmental equipment and systems.
• Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and direct related reports and recommendations to management.
• Investigate environmental issues to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.
• Stay current on environmental legislation, regulatory agency actions, and technological developments.
• Develop environmental training materials, manuals, and programs for employees.
• Represent the company with regulatory agencies, trade associations, and industry work groups.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 10 years of relevant environmental experience in a process industry (e.g., refining, midstream, or petrochemical).
• OR Bachelor’s degree in a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) related field with 5 years of relevant experience.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 years of relevant environmental experience.
• Proven ability to monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
• Ability to develop technical knowledge and business acumen.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
