Environmental Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage complex environmental projects including wetland delineations, permitting, EIA, and Phase I & II ESAs
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations (EPA, NEPA, CEQA, RCRA, CERCLA)
• Perform environmental fieldwork, data collection, sampling, and analysis for air, water, and soil quality
• Draft figures and site plans using CADD software
• Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and regulatory filings
• Manage project budgets, scheduling, and subcontractor oversight
• Support business development through proposal writing and project bids
• Mentor and train junior staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field
• 7+ years of relevant environmental experience, preferably in consulting or industrial sectors
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes
• Proficiency with GIS, field data processing, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read civil engineering plans, maps, and specifications
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related field
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
• Professional certification such as PE, PG, CHMM, or QEP
• Experience with CADD drafting and stormwater evaluations
