About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide overall on-site leadership and management of environmental programs and personnel
- Serve as the primary interface with the Government Contracting Officer, COR, and technical leads
- Manage subcontractors and indirect service procurements
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and NASA environmental regulations and directives
- Provide subject matter expertise in at least one environmental compliance media area
- Oversee multi-media environmental programs including risk assessment and regulatory compliance
- Support audits, inspections, corrective actions, and program improvement initiatives
- Ensure contract deliverables, schedules, staffing, and performance metrics are met
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
- Master’s degree in a related environmental or safety discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years of Environmental Program Management experience
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontracts and indirect services procurement
- Subject matter expertise in at least one environmental compliance media area
- Multi-media environmental compliance experience with federal and state regulations
- Experience conducting or supporting environmental risk assessments
- US citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting NASA or other federal facilities
- Experience managing large, multi-site environmental contracts
