Environmental Simulation and Performance Lab Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage full operations of the Environmental Simulation Lab, including technical staff leadership and budget oversight
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing expert support for commercial and specialized Military/Aerospace testing
• Develop, review, and execute test plans in compliance with industry standards such as ASTM, MIL-STD-810, and RTCA/DO-160
• Mentor and provide technical oversight to lab engineers and technicians
• Oversee calibration, maintenance, and functional verification of test equipment to uphold ISO/IEC 17025 standards
• Lead research efforts to identify and develop new testing services, specifically in high-growth Military and Defense sectors
• Manage incoming Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and develop realistic project schedules to ensure on-time delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in a laboratory environment with hands-on expertise in environmental simulation testing (climatic, mechanical, dynamic)
• Deep knowledge of industry standards including IEC, ASTM, MIL-STD-810, or RTCA/DO-160
• Proven technical leadership experience and ability to manage cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to travel as needed for client engagements and audits
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction
