Environmental Services Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental, housekeeping, and laundry activities to ensure efficient and effective service
• Supervise and manage all environmental services team members, including assigning daily work responsibilities
• Establish and record appropriate schedules and conduct routine inspections to ensure quality assurance standards
• Support and guide the EVS team to deliver high-quality cleaning and sanitation for residents, employees, and guests
• Maintain cleanliness in event spaces, offices, common areas, chapels, and libraries
• Supervise terminal cleaning of event areas and facilitate timely room turnovers
• Respond to emergency cleaning needs and oversee waste management in compliance with protocols
• Inspect rooms and common areas for maintenance needs and report issues to the appropriate department
• Provide training, support, and direction to EVS team members

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent education
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of environmental services practices, including detergents, germicides, and chemical supplies
• Familiarity with environmental service equipment and ability to troubleshoot malfunctions
• Knowledge of infection control procedures, pest control programs, and floor maintenance methods
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
• Ability to communicate at all levels and coach team members
• Understanding of staff scheduling processes
