Environmental Services Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems
• Oversee staffing, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance routines
• Perform routine repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Manage departmental budgets and financial resources
• Coordinate hiring, orientation, and performance monitoring of team members
• Lead the Home-wide Health and Safety Program
• Ensure compliance with LTC legislation and Public Health guidance
• Respond to maintenance call-ins and after-hours issues

Requirements

• Managerial experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience managing people, budgets, and legislative obligations
• Knowledge of the Fixing Long Term Care Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act
• OH&S level I & II certification as a management representative
• Knowledge of WHMIS and Ministry of Long-Term Care regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance-related work experience
• Post-secondary degree or diploma
• BES certification
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for housekeeping and laundry
