Environmental Services Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems
• Oversee housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance work routines
• Perform routine repairs, servicing, and inspections of equipment and grounds
• Manage departmental budgets and staffing, including hiring, orientation, and performance monitoring
• Coordinate the Home-wide Health and Safety Program
• Ensure compliance with LTC legislation, PIDAC, and Public Health guidance
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize facilities management tasks

Requirements

• Managerial experience in a healthcare setting managing people and budgets
• Knowledge of the Fixing Long Term Care Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and WHMIS
• OH&S level I & II certification as a management representative
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for housekeeping and laundry

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance-related work experience
• Post-secondary degree or diploma
• BES certification
