Environmental Services Associate

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient care areas, exam rooms, treatment rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures using proper PPE and disinfectants
• Remove trash, medical waste, and recycling in compliance with safety regulations
• Maintain floors, surfaces, fixtures, and furnishings
• Restock cleaning and sanitation supplies
• Report maintenance issues or supply shortages to staff
• Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards regarding Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Perform routine and deep-cleaning tasks for the clinic and clinic housing

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation procedures in healthcare environments
• Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and cleaning protocols
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull cleaning equipment
• Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning products and healthcare-related environments
• Ability to pass a background check and follow drug policies

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare environment
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
