Environmental Services Aide/Associate, Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning including surface disinfection, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting across various hospital areas
• Replenish washroom supplies and maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, clinics, and public areas
• Handle and remove recycling, compost, garbage, biomedical, and cytotoxic waste according to legislation
• Utilize cleaning chemicals and equipment such as ladders, mops, and motorized floor care machines
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain professional standards

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent education and training
• Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking on uneven surfaces, and lifting up to 20 kg
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) to understand work orders and instructions
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
• Availability for all shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar or relevant cleaning role
