Environmental Scientist

Responsibilities

• Support environmental remediation and compliance projects across federal and commercial programs
• Contribute to and develop technical proposal content in collaboration with Business Development teams
• Interpret and apply federal and state environmental regulations to ongoing and proposed work
• Prepare technical reports, evaluations, and supporting documentation for environmental projects
• Support groundwater remediation activities, including site characterization and long-term monitoring
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy
• Assist with project planning, data interpretation, and decision-making processes

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related scientific discipline
• 8–12 years of relevant mid-level experience
• Demonstrated experience in environmental remediation and/or environmental compliance
• Strong technical writing skills for reports and proposals
• U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract requirements
• Ability to work onsite in Oak Ridge, TN

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with groundwater remediation or groundwater modeling
• Familiarity with site characterization, risk assessment, and corrective action strategies
• Experience supporting proposal development or technical business development
• Advanced degree in environmental science or a related field
• Professional certifications such as PG, CHMM, or QEP
• Experience supporting federal programs (DOE, DOD, or similar)
