Environmental Remediation Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and support remedial and process engineering projects and teams to fill data gaps, design, construct, operate, and optimize systems
• Plan and perform assessments, pilot tests, construction oversight, and remedy O&M
• Evaluate data from aquifer tests, pilot studies, bench testing, sampling events, and modeling to develop remedial strategies
• Prepare, review, and mentor others in the development of design basis, technology feasibility analyses, and design plans, specifications, and reports
• Communicate with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies to ensure compliance
• Provide project and client management for various facility types
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and long-term projections for remediation projects
• Provide technical assistance to teams across multiple offices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited college
• 7-15 years of relevant experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Strong knowledge of FDEP, CERCLA, RCRA, and other environmental regulations
• Hands-on experience with remediation technologies and O&M for soil, groundwater, stormwater, industrial wastewater, and air
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel overnight

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with remedial system instrumentation and controls
• Experience with remote telemetry
