Environmental Remediation Associate Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supporting remedial and process engineering projects to design, construct, operate, and optimize systems
• Planning and performing assessments, pilot tests, construction oversight, and O&M remedying
• Evaluating data from aquifer tests, pilot studies, bench testing, and modeling to develop remedial strategies
• Preparing design basis, technology feasibility analyses, and design plans, specifications, and reports
• Communicating with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies to ensure compliance
• Preparing proposals, cost estimates, and long-term projections for remediation projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited college
• 4-8 years of relevant experience
• EIT required; P.E. preferred
• Strong knowledge of FDEP, CERCLA, RCRA, and other environmental regulations
• Hands-on experience with remediation technologies and O&M for soil, groundwater, stormwater, industrial wastewater, and air
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel overnight

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with remedial system instrumentation, controls, and remote telemetry
