Environmental Regulations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Analyze products, processes, and packaging systems regarding PPWR requirements
• Conduct GAP analyses for PPWR and WEEE to derive concrete compliance measures
• Create, prioritize, and support the execution of implementation plans
• Define and plan necessary steps to achieve WEEE conformity
• Coordinate and monitor implementation progress across departments
• Support the safe packaging of chemicals and sensitive technical equipment
• Apply dangerous goods expertise (ADR, IATA, IMDG) for safe packaging and transport

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, or Sustainability Management
• Alternatively, completed vocational training in logistics (e.g., warehouse logistics specialist)
• Solid understanding of EU regulations, specifically PPWR and WEEE
• Experience analyzing complex regulatory requirements and translating them into operational processes
• Expertise in the safe packaging of chemicals and/or sensitive technical equipment
• Knowledge of dangerous goods logistics
• Fluency in English; German or other European languages are a plus
• Willingness to travel regularly within Europe (approximately 50% during onboarding)
