Environmental Qualification Program Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Environmental Qualification files, supporting calculations, and maintenance, installation, and configuration requirements.
• Ensure engineering program work is performed and implemented consistent with defined codes, standards, and station licenses.
• Develop, plan, and coordinate special projects, corrective action plans, and improvement programs to address plant or regulatory issues.
• Oversee the development of drawings, specifications, and detailed designs for new plant equipment and modifications to existing systems.
• Implement fleet lessons learned and good practices to optimize engineering performance.
• Control engineering costs by optimizing resources and tracking expenditures within budget parameters.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Engineering or a closely related scientific discipline.
• Relevant experience based on level:
• Engineer II: 2+ years (1 year with a M.S.)
• Engineer III: 4+ years
• Senior Engineer: 6+ years (5+ years with PE)
• Senior Lead Engineer: 10+ years (8+ years with M.S./PMP/P.E.)
• Proficiency in PC applications.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to complete 10CFR50.59 qualification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR.
• Environmental Qualifications Card.
