Environmental Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, directing, and implementing environmental remediation and construction projects
• Support project execution including scheduling, cost tracking, and field operation coordination
• Prepare technical reports, sampling and analysis plans (SAPs), HASPs, and remedial action work plans (RAWPs)
• Conduct soil, groundwater, and environmental sampling activities
• Ensure compliance with CERCLA, RCRA, and other federal, state, and local regulations
• Monitor project progress and communicate status, schedules, and budgets to management
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies
• Support proposal preparation and cost estimating efforts
• Travel to project sites up to 50% of the time

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in environmental remediation or environmental consulting
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university
• Current 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification and 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
• Working knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA regulations
• Experience with soil and groundwater sampling
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science
• E.I.T., P.E., PG, or CHMM certifications
• Experience with environmental remediation construction projects
• Experience preparing project proposals and cost estimates
• Familiarity with environmental compliance permitting
