Environmental Planning and Approvals Consultant

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver environmental assessments and approvals management for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, and BESS).
• Support the growth and development of ERM’s Capital Project Delivery service area through global and national collaboration.
• Work within cross-functional teams to lead client and technical teams while building ERM’s business presence.
• Drive technical innovation to stay ahead of client needs and differentiate ERM in the renewable energy market.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations while ensuring compliance with internal and contract requirements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in environmental planning, approvals, and impact assessment.
• Demonstrated experience with WA State and Commonwealth legislative frameworks.
• Proven track record of managing approvals for wind, solar, or BESS projects.
• Technical competence in due diligence, post-approval management, and impact assessment best practices.
• Strong ability to build and sustain relationships with major clients.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Full authorization to work in Australia.
