Environmental Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine monitoring of water, air quality, noise and biodiversity
• Collect, validate, and analyse environmental data for reporting
• Maintain compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and company standards
• Participate in inspections, audits, and incident investigations
• Manage site waste management, pest control, firebreaks, and weed control
• Liaise with Traditional Owner groups and assist with Cultural Heritage surveys
• Support the development and implementation of Environmental Management plans
• Review and audit site environmental management systems (EMS) to ISO 14001 standard
• Produce timely and accurate statutory documentation and reports
• Support management of on-site environmental contractors and projects

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental management, Environmental engineering, Environmental science, or Civil engineering
• Experience within an Environmental Team, preferably in Resources or Mining
• Proficiency in ArcGIS or equivalent GIS software
• Experience interpreting and analysing environmental data
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Intermediate Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software such as Deswik or AutoCAD
