Environmental Manager

Responsibilities

• Implement programs and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Supervise job environmental processes and address potential violations or concerns.
• Oversee permit applications and renewals, assisting management in maintaining all necessary environmental permits.
• Prepare and submit accurate environmental reports to regulatory agencies in a timely manner.
• Maintain comprehensive records of permits, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Participate in environmental issue investigations and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
• Develop and implement environmental training programs for the project team.
• Oversee a team of environmental compliance specialists.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in environmental compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, biology, or a related field.
• CPESC Certification is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet intense deadlines.
• Willingness to relocate to Mobile, AL for the I-10 Mobile River Bridge project.

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant experience managing environmental compliance for major transportation construction projects.
• ISO 14000 certifications.
