About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with ADM, federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Maintain and manage the site’s Environmental Management System (EMS), including policy development, incident investigations, and risk reduction.
- Prepare permit applications and regulatory applicability analyses for air, land, and water.
- Develop and deliver environmental training programs for employees and contractors.
- Lead internal and external environmental audits and manage regulatory agency visits.
- Prepare required environmental reports and maintain all necessary facility documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a continuous manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, including air and water permitting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
- Ability to work in various conditions, including office settings and outdoor industrial environments (heat, cold, inclement weather).
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking long distances, climbing ladders, and wearing a respirator if required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and serve as a point of contact for after-hours emergencies.
