Environmental Leader

Responsibilities

• Provide direct accountability for environmental reporting at the Spartanburg, SC and Winder, GA facilities.
• Advise site managers and HSE Directors on regulatory gaps and strategic resolutions.
• Support North American sites with regulatory reporting requirements including RCRA, NPDES, SARA, and the Clean Air Act.
• Develop and select tools to enable efficient environmental emissions reporting for both regulatory and internal requirements (CSRD and SERF).
• Train, coach, and mentor site-level HSE resources on key environmental requirements.
• Conduct periodic site visits to assess compliance, performance, and provide technical guidance.
• Lead investigations into complex environmental regulatory issues and deliver technical solutions.
• Interface with regulatory agencies in consultation with legal counsel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in plant operations technical roles or process safety management.
• Deep knowledge of local and national process safety regulations, including EPA RMP, OSHA PSM, and SEVESO.
• Proficiency with dispersion modeling techniques and software such as ALOHA, PHAST, or RMP*Comp.
• Familiarity with industry standards including API, ASME, and NFPA.
• Must live in or near Spartanburg, SC or Winder, GA.
