Environmental Impact Assessor

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) assignments for marine, offshore, upstream, coastal, and industrial projects
• Provide technical and regulatory input for customer engagement, proposal development, and tender clarification
• Plan and deliver EIA work programmes including scoping, baseline data review, and mitigation planning
• Prepare and review technical reports such as EIA reports, Environmental Management Plans (EMP), and monitoring plans
• Conduct environmental screening, site assessments, and field surveys
• Interpret and apply Malaysian environmental legislation and DOE requirements
• Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and technical specialists to ensure successful project delivery
• Support business development through feasibility reviews and resource estimation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Marine Science, or a related discipline
• Registered Environmental Impact Assessment Consultant under the Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia
• Minimum 5 years of relevant EIA experience
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

• DOE EIA Consultant Team Leader registration
• At least 7 years of relevant experience
• Exposure to marine, offshore, upstream oil and gas, or port-related environments
• Experience in consulting, TIC, or engineering advisory environments
