Environmental Health Services Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and pleasant working environment for patients and staff
• Clean and disinfect all facility areas, including treatment areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and waiting rooms
• Ensure proper disposal of regular, biohazard, and recyclable waste according to facility policies
• Manage cleaning supplies by keeping areas organized, labeled, and adequately stocked
• Perform basic physical plant repairs such as painting, changing light bulbs, and fixing ceiling tiles
• Assist technical or nursing staff with moving equipment and lifting heavy objects
• Perform water quality testing, including RO machine initiation and total chlorine testing
• Document all cleaning, disinfection, and water quality testing activities in appropriate logs

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical plant repairs and general maintenance
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as jugs and boxes
• Knowledge of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and HMIS (Hazard Material Identification System) protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 0-1 year of experience in professional cleaning or housekeeping
