Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer programs pertaining to OSHA, medical surveillance, and substance abuse testing
• Coordinate worker’s compensation, accident, and injury management programs
• Assist in the development and implementation of ISO Program initiatives
• Implement and modify industrial hygiene programs to meet facility needs
• Provide guidance to management regarding regulatory requirements and changes
• Provide training in environmental, OSHA, DOT, site remediation, and emergency response
• Administer EH&S Department computer programs including CMS, Tracer, and Intelex

Requirements

• BS in a related field
• 3 to 5 years in the hazardous waste industry or related work experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years in a problem-solving capacity
• 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
• DOT Hazardous Material certification
• OSHA 30 hour Certification
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Process Safety Management and Confined Space Entry
• Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations
• Experience with root cause analysis and workplace chemical exposure assessments
