Environmental Health & Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in emergency response planning
• Execute industrial hygiene studies to analyze manufacturing byproducts
• Calibrate and service EHS instrumentation
• Perform safety inspections and address deficiencies
• Conduct functional testing of machine guarding devices
• Create lockout/tagout procedures for complex work cells
• Design and deploy high resolution EHS signage
• Qualify PPE requirements through hazard analysis and agency standards
• Monitor safety equipment supplies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree OR High school diploma with 4+ years of EHS experience
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to pass USCG examinations and federal background checks
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing

Preferred Qualifications

• HAZWOPER Certification
• BCSP certification (ASP, CSP, SMS, OHST etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Mechanical inclination and understanding of modern machinery
