Environmental Health & Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, FDA, ISO, and local/state regulations
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments while recommending and tracking corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records for training, incidents, inspections, and compliance activities
• Support hazardous waste management and assist with environmental compliance efforts such as wastewater operations
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations and promote a “zero harm” culture
• Lead or support investigations into incidents and near misses to determine root causes and preventive actions
• Design and deliver engaging safety training, including PPE, emergency response, and safe work practices
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, and Facilities to strengthen EHS and GMP performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related field
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in environmental health and safety management
• Experience in a manufacturing or healthcare environment
• Proven experience implementing safety programs and conducting job hazard analyses
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA, and ISO regulations and standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
