About the role
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, FDA, ISO, and local/state regulations
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments while recommending and tracking corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records for training, incidents, inspections, and compliance activities
- Support hazardous waste management and assist with environmental compliance efforts such as wastewater operations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations and promote a “zero harm” culture
- Lead or support investigations into incidents and near misses to determine root causes and preventive actions
- Design and deliver engaging safety training, including PPE, emergency response, and safe work practices
- Collaborate with Operations, HR, and Facilities to strengthen EHS and GMP performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related field
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in environmental health and safety management
- Experience in a manufacturing or healthcare environment
- Proven experience implementing safety programs and conducting job hazard analyses
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, FDA, and ISO regulations and standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
