Environmental Health, Safety & Security Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between the site and the Global Security & Safety team to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
• Lead initiatives to implement and enforce environmental, health, safety, and security protocols within the distribution center.
• Develop comprehensive risk assessments and mitigation plans based on safety metrics, hazard recognition, and incident tracking.
• Drive safety and security culture through frequent site audits and by leading the site safety & security committee.
• Manage compliance with physical and electronic security systems, including video, access control, and alarm systems.
• Lead safety and security training, including new employee onboarding and Powered Industrial Truck training.
• Oversee environmental compliance related to hazardous waste management, HazMat shipping, and fire code compliance.
• Partner with Risk Management on site claims management and Return to Work processes.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience monitoring and managing compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, and DEA regulations.
• Experience with physical and electronic security equipment such as video, access control, and alarm systems.
• Proven experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis (RCA) processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns to improve processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as PSP, CSP, ARM, APP, or CHMM.
• Knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety Management Systems.
