About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide identification, assessment, and mitigation of environmental, health, and safety risks
- Conduct internal audits, coordinate external audits, and implement necessary process improvements
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations using root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
- Create and update Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and provide role-specific safety training
- Manage respiratory protection programs, lockout/tagout procedures, and machine guarding compliance
- Oversee environmental permits including Stormwater Pollution Prevention, Industrial Wastewater Discharge, and Clean Air Agency authorizations
- Monitor hazardous waste activities, including dangerous waste manifests, shipments, and Tier 2 reports
- Maintain EHS data integrity, dashboards, and performance reporting for management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive EHS experience in complex operational environments
- OSHA 30 certification
- HAZWOPER 40 certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CSP, ASP, or CIH
- Experience supporting multi-site operations
- Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives
- Experience quantifying safety-related ROI and financial impacts
