Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and administration of EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Support EHS staff in promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the facility.
• Participate in workplace safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
• Assist in documenting inspection findings and tracking corrective actions.
• Support incident investigations by gathering information and documenting observations.
• Help organize, schedule, and document EHS training programs, drills, and safety meetings.
• Maintain EHS records, training files, and safety documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Support compliance monitoring related to OSHA and other applicable EHS regulations.
• Assist with maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and related chemical safety documentation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety principles; familiarity with OSHA concepts is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work onsite in Ravenna, Ohio (Full-time during summer; 10–20 hours per week during the academic year).

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of sophomore year or higher for Bachelor's degree candidates.
• Prior internship, co-op, manufacturing, or safety-related experience.
