Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Administer EH&S programs in accordance with government agencies and industry certifications
• Ensure continuity and consistency of corporate EH&S policies and procedures enterprise-wide
• Collaborate with internal and external groups regarding process changes impacting safety and environment
• Identify, communicate, and document regulatory requirements to all levels of the organization
• Maintain EH&S performance records and report on progress toward corporate goals
• Provide leadership, coaching, and technical support to EH&S committees and operational teams
• Conduct training and develop trainers for EH&S content to promote excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in EH&S or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3-5 years of professional experience in the EH&S field
• Working understanding of Federal, State, and Industry EH&S codes and regulations
• Technical experience in areas such as hazardous energy control, industrial hygiene, and hazard communications
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage projects with a high degree of initiative
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification(s) in the EH&S field
• Familiarity with ISO 14000 and ISO 45000 standards
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials
