About the Company

Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the world’s transition to clean energy through the commercialization of fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactors (FHR).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance
• Oversee safety compliance for employees, contractors, and vendors using the JHA process
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify improvements
• Manage waste processes including disposal, recycling, and hazardous materials handling
• Lead safety committee meetings, toolbox talks, and safety moments
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement preventive measures
• Collaborate with HR to manage workers’ compensation and return-to-work processes
• Partner with Learning and Development to design and update EHS training and emergency response plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in safety management, regulatory compliance, and program development
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements and hazardous materials
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
• Ability to work in manufacturing and R&D environments
• Physical ability to climb ladders, use hand tools, and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with an Environmental or Industrial Hygiene focus
• Professional certification such as CSP or CIH
• OSHA 10 certification
• CPR certification
• Ability to obtain forklift and aerial lift certifications
