About the role
Responsibilities
- Guide safety, health, and environmental initiatives at the manufacturing plant
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and EPA
- Foster an incident and accident-free workplace through education, coaching, and training
- Analyze accidents involving people or property and implement corrective actions
- Create and monitor safety and accident prevention statistics
- Assist with workers’ compensation reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Health and Safety (two-year degrees may be considered with significant experience)
- 1-2 years of EHS experience specifically within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with MS Office tools for report writing, data analysis, and presentations
- Knowledge of Behavior Based Safety programs
- Willingness to work onsite in a factory/manufacturing environment
- Must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Military or other specialized experience in workplace safety
- Previous internship or co-op experience in an EHS role
