Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site environmental, health, and safety support, including training, incident investigations, and hazard reviews
• Complete required environmental inspections and prepare technical reports
• Review compliance against corporate EH&S strategies, management systems, and auditing requirements
• Assist in developing solutions for technical and regulatory issues
• Support EHS compliance programs, including air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, and wastewater management
• Ensure project delivery meets client expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality

Requirements

• BS/MS in safety, occupational health, engineering, or a related science degree
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably in manufacturing, pharma, chemical, or hi-tech sectors
• Proven experience with LOTO, machine guarding, and design reviews
• Solid understanding of local, state, and federal regulations applicable to heavy industry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on-site in South Hill, Virginia, for 3 consecutive days per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CHST, CSP, CIH, or PE
• Local candidates preferred
