Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support EHS compliance, environmental management systems, and contingency plans
• Manage multi-media permits and reports for air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, storm water, and wastewater
• Provide on-site health and safety support, including training, incident investigations, and hazard reviews
• Prepare technical reports and deliverables while meeting client expectations for scope, budget, and quality
• Assist in developing solutions to technical and regulatory issues
• Design and implement corporate H&S strategies, including compliance auditing and process safety management

Requirements

• BS/MS in environmental or chemical engineering, safety, occupational health, or a related science
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in industrial regulatory compliance
• Proven experience working within the manufacturing and chemical sectors
• Solid understanding of local, state, and federal regulations applicable to chemical manufacturing
• Passion for EHS performance improvement and practical implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as PE, ASP, CSP, or CIH
