Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site health and safety support, including training, incident investigations, and hazard reviews
• Prepare technical reports and deliverables to meet client scope, budget, and quality expectations
• Design and implement corporate H&S strategies, compliance auditing, and safety management systems
• Conduct field coaching and assessments for safety performance improvement projects
• Support EHS compliance, environmental management systems, and multi-media permits (air quality, hazardous waste, etc.)
• Assist in developing solutions for technical and regulatory issues

Requirements

• BS/MS in safety, occupational health, engineering, or a related science degree
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial regulatory compliance, specifically within manufacturing, pharma, or hi-tech sectors
• Proven experience in construction safety
• Expertise in LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), machine guarding, and design reviews
• Solid understanding of local, state, and federal regulations applicable to heavy industry and capital projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CHST, CSP, CIH, or PE
• Local candidates preferred
