Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer programs pertaining to OSHA, medical surveillance, and substance abuse testing
• Coordinate worker's compensation, accident, and injury management programs
• Implement industrial hygiene, safety, regulatory, and transportation programs
• Act as chairperson on improvement teams for environmental, health, and safety programs
• Provide guidance to management regarding regulatory requirements and changes
• Provide training in environmental, site remediation, reactive chemical operations, and emergency response
• Conduct research and investigations to support the development of new safety policies

Requirements

• BS in Chemistry or a related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years in a problem-solving capacity
• Valid driver's license
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
• 30-hour OSHA general industry standard training

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years in the hazardous waste industry
