Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive and promote safe behaviour in accordance with Schindler EHS Management Systems
• Implement the safety strategy plan across the NSW branch
• Ensure 100% compliance to safety procedures and audit the branch to identify and close out non-conformances
• Manage and execute training needs analysis and conduct internal or external training
• Conduct safety walks, observations, and toolbox talks to ensure follow-up actions are completed
• Investigate and follow up on all incident reports to closure
• Assist with the development of site-specific Safety Plans and Safe Work Method Statements
• Manage the Return-to-Work process for the NSW branch

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in OH&S or a similar discipline
• Proven experience in an EHS Management role within construction, manufacturing, lift, or related industrial sectors
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing EHS strategies, plans, and systems
• Experience in developing and providing EHS training, coaching, and mentoring
• In-depth knowledge of Australian EHS laws and regulations
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and time management skills
