About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and workplace inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Manage regulatory reporting, permit applications, and sustainability initiatives, including PFAS reporting and carbon emissions data collection.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, and illnesses using root cause analysis to implement effective corrective actions.
  • Lead the company-wide Safety Committee program and coach supervisors and managers on safety protocols.
  • Ensure all safety-related training is effectively delivered and recorded in the company Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Perform gap analyses against internal policies and provide strategic recommendations for risk mitigation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in EHS compliance, safety program management, or sustainability for a multi-national corporation.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as 3rd-party compliance portals.
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification from the BCSP.
  • OSHA General Industry certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with eLearning training development platforms.
  • Experience in in-person classroom training delivery.
