Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure a safe and accident-free work environment.
• Perform job site environmental compliance inspections, including hazard communication, chemical labeling, waste management, and spill prevention.
• Monitor adherence to company environmental management programs by all employees and subcontractors.
• Coordinate emergency response teams across all facility shifts.
• Research, plan, and conduct training programs and seminars for supervisors and field employees regarding regulatory compliance.
• Handle all environmental testing, recordkeeping, and the submission of reports to local, state, and federal regulators.
• Provide expert advice and counsel to management on effective environmental programs and continuous improvement of Environmental Management Systems.
• Lead or participate in special task forces and technical teams to minimize workplace hazards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in environmental management, health & safety, or a related field.
• Five years of environmental management work experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Current wastewater and stormwater certifications.
• Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proven supervisory, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
