About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, technical problem solving, and implementation support for Environmental compliance, workplace safety, and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
- Strategically manage team resources to ensure all corporate and regulatory compliance requirements are met.
- Drive the implementation of EHS best practices to streamline and standardize processes across the site.
- Coach and provide EHS leadership to site staff and area leaders to drive excellence in performance.
- Partner with site leadership to drive personal accountability and consistent implementation of EHS policies.
- Assist in operational learning, injury and illness classification, regulatory agency interactions, and auditing.
- Develop and support annual site EHS strategies and objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering, Safety, or Safety Management.
- 10+ years of experience in safety and Process Safety Management (PSM) activities.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of high-hazard chemical operations and PSM in regulated facilities.
- Background in industrial manufacturing environments.
- Strong technical and regulatory knowledge of OSHA PSM regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience specifically in high-hazard chemical process environments.
