About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide daily safety support, coaching, and training to facility locations and operating teams across the Northeastern United States
- Conduct compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and field safety observations
- Maintain, audit, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe work practices and equipment
- Lead incident investigations and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Manage corrective actions following accidents or incidents
- Develop and present relevant EHS training to field and leadership teams
- Coordinate regional safety activities and ensure EHS policies are implemented and understood
- Perform regular job site visits to establish an EHS presence and evaluate PPE usage
Requirements
- 5-8 years of professional experience in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) field
- Bachelor's degree in EHS or a related field (or High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management software/reporting platforms
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards
- Ability to travel frequently to branch locations and job sites, including overnight travel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to drive cultural change
