About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead field activities supporting environmental monitoring, investigation, and remediation programs
  • Collect, manage, and document soil, groundwater, and soil vapour samples
  • Conduct fieldwork including groundwater monitoring, borehole drilling, and test pit excavations
  • Supervise subcontractors during drilling, surveying, utility locating, and excavation work
  • Oversee remedial contractors, including directing excavations and tracking waste
  • Coordinate field logistics, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure successful project execution
  • Prepare and follow site-specific health and safety plans

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in environmental technology, environmental sciences, or engineering
  • Working knowledge of health and safety practices with a strong safety-first mindset
  • Experience or exposure to soil and groundwater monitoring and remediation
  • Ability to maintain clear, accurate field notes and contribute to technical reporting
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Western Canada for extended field assignments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the oil and gas sector
  • Experience with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments
